เว็บไซต์  Happyriding  เป็นเว็บที่ก่อตั้งตั้งแต่ปี 2547 จากความรักความชอบในกีฬาขี่ม้า เนื่องจาก webmaster เคยขี่ม้าอยู่เป็นเวลาประมาณ 4 ปี (น้อยมาก) และเริ่มขี่ม้าตอนอายุที่มากแล้ว (ไม่นับที่เคยขี่ตอนเด็กตอนอยู่โรงเรียนประจำ) เลยไม่ค่อยประสบความสำเร็จในกีฬานี้เท่าไหร่ แต่ก็รู้สึกชอบการขี่ม้ามากๆ ทุกครั้งที่ได้เจอม้าและขึ้นม้ามันมีความสุขและทำให้ลืมทุกอย่างได้ จุดประสงค์แรกที่ตั้งใจทำเว็บนี้เนื่องจาก ณ ตอนนั้นประเทศไทยยังไม่มีเว็บไซต์ที่รวบรวมข้อมูลข่าวสารเกี่ยวกับกีฬาขี่ม้าสักเท่าไหร่และเนื่องจากทำอาชีพ Freelance Web Designer ก็เลยเริ่มทำเว็บขึ้นมา จนพอเป็นรูปเป็นร่าง มีสมาชิกแวะเวียนเข้ามาคุยกันในเว็บบอร์ดมากมาย แต่เมื่อเวลาผ่านไปก็มีโอกาสทำให้เลิกขี่ม้าไปเพราะเริ่มทำงานประจำ เมื่อไม่ได้ไปขี่ม้าแล้วก็เลยปล่อยปละละเลยกับเว็บไซต์ไปช่วงหนึ่ง จนมีคนมาขอซื้อเว็บไซต์ต่อ แต่ก็ยังดื้อดึงเก็บเอาไว้เพราะเรายังมีความชอบในกีฬานี้อยู่ และเป็นอะไรที่สร้างมาเอง ทำให้ไม่อาจจะตีเป็นมูลค่าได้

ทุกวันนี้เริ่มกลับมามีเวลามากขึ้น (น่าจะเรียกว่าบริหารเวลาดีขึ้น) เลยหันกลับมาพยายามดูแลเว็บไซต์ให้มีชีวิตชีวาเหมือนเดิม ถึงแม้ว่าเวลานี้ไม่ได้กลับมาเปิดเว็บบอร์ดให้ผู้ที่สนใจเข้ามาพูดคุยกันเหมือนแต่ก่อน แต่ก็ยินดีรับฟัง comment และความคิดเห็น หรือแค่มาทักทายกันก็ได้ค่ะ

จุดประสงค์สำคัญที่ยังคงไว้สำหรับการทำเว็บไซต์นี้ให้ดีขึ้นคือต้องการเป็นสื่อกลางในนำเสนอข้อมูลข่าวสารที่เกี่ยวข้องกับกีฬาขี่ม้า เพื่อนักกีฬาขี่ม้าและผู้ที่สนใจในกีฬาขี่ม้า ไม่ว่าจะเป็นข้อมูลการแข่งขัน และผลการแข่งขันภายในประเทศ โปรแกรมการแข่งขันที่ถ่ายทอดทางโทรทัศน์ สถานที่ขี่ม้า โรงเรียนสอนขี่ม้า โรงแรมและรีสอร์ท ร้านขายอุปกรณ์ขี่ม้า บทความและ VDO Clip เกี่ยวกับกีฬาขี่ม้า

Happyriding website was founded in 2003. I just happened to ride horses for about 4 years (very little i know) and wasn’t very successful with competing. However, I found myself in love with the sport even after given up for many years. I have built this website because I was a freelance web designer and at the time there was hardly any websites about equestrian sports in Thailand, it wasn’t hard to start. After taken on fulltime job, I had less time to ride and eventually given up riding. I was approached by someone who wanted to buy the website one day because lack of updates, but I just couldn’t sell it. It was something I still feel attached to and I just couldn’t price it. The only thing that kept me going with the site was just pure interest in the sport. (I still keep my riding equipments in my car boot)

Now that I have more time (better management of time more like) I decided to update the website more often with as much news as I can find. Some clubs do still send competition news to me and I thank you for that.

My other important objectives for running the website are to provide news and information about horse riding events and horse sports in Thailand. The aim is increase awareness of, and participation in riding and equestrian sport by providing information, news and media for riders and spectators and to help clubs and organization promote their events.
